Message: Everywhere. If you are familiar with the area, stop by the ranger station in Mi-Wuk Village on 49 up the hill from Sonora. You can pick up a forest map for almost nothing and it will outline all the old logging roads. There is a sweet half day ride from 49 over to 4 that takes you through Hell's Half Acre and over the mountain and drops you off near... Murphy's I think. Been over a year since I wheel'd up that way but if you get a hold of that map you'll see all kinds of stuff up over the pass.

Message: Chris,
I should be going up in about 2 weeks.
I want to go talk to the rangers first, find out if they have any recommended trails, and if there are trail ratings/permits and all that fun stuff. I'll let you know. Oh yea, its snowing up there, so should be interesting.

Message: Dude, did you go yet? If not, when do you plan to do the snow run? I have to get my front end looked at (it's popp'n and making some nasty sounds) but I may be interested in doing a snow run through sonora pass. Let me know if you (or anyone else) would be interested.

Message: Sweet! But by the looks of the rigs on that site, I'm a little out of my league with my truck. I'd like to hit a run with you guys anyway though. As long as someone has a tow strap, hehe.

Message: Are you 4x2? We have plenty of tow straps and love to use them!
We have a Frontier guy who loves to pull guys out! LOL
If you are local bay area then look for a Hollister run. Plenty of 2wd area there and 4x4 as well.

Message: If you drive up to pinecrest then take a right soon after getting in, you can take a trail to the Clavey. It's not too hardcore ut you can easily find some fun sidetrails. So you get a nice day off-road and you can have a nice picnic at the clavey which is really beautiful. I live in Sonora so if you are planning on a trip i wouldn't mind going. but i dont have any lift on my truck.

Message: I'm ready for whatever trip you guys have planned. Just let me know and I'm there. I just got my truck back from the shop and it's doing better now. I have a problem with my alignment. I just got it aligned and within a 1000 miles the bolts slipped and I was back in the shop. I think as long as I keep an eye on it I will be fine.
Have any of you guys heard of the bolts just slipping and causing the alignment to not just go out but actually have play and pop back and forth? I was told that it could be the bracket on my lift causing the problem. Any ideas?

Message: I had that happen to me but it was a crappy alignment tech who did not tighten the bolts properly. This was before I had the lift. I have had no issues with it since the lift either.
As far as wheelin. Go to this forum and sign up and monitor for trips near you.
