1) Which V8 should I get 4.7 or 5.9 and what years. I do alot of trailering in the summer.

2) Will my American Racing rims from my jeep fit on a dakota?

I loved my my jeep and that is one of the reasons I am staying with chrysler. I had a 1998 cherokee sport but the grand chrokees have too many bells and whistles and are overpriced. Thanks Rick.

I got the 4.7, Great engine, overhead cams....well designed.
As far as the rims go, No they won't fit; Daks have 6-bolt/ jeep uses 5.
Do lots of homework before you decide on an engine, I've heard lots of stuff both ways. I am happy with my 4.7 aside from the fact that it generates most of it's HP above 1800 RPM. Below 1800, it'll bog in the mud a bit.

2000 CC 4X4 4.7 Auto with 3.55's loaded up with all the goodies from the factory, but few aftermarket gizmos (lockers)

5.9

I really love the 5.9 i got in my 98 Durango. It has plenty of power to steadily pull a 20ft boat at 75-80mph...and i still get about 10mpg mileage. Ive heard all things from both sides on both engines though. So like he said, do your research and choose what you think is best for you. Im very satisfied with the 5.9 though, always knowing that there is the power there if i need it. Plus you got that 360/5.9 braggin rights ya know.
