Hey it's me the newbie again, you guys seem to know your stuff pretty good. Anyway I'm from Long Island (yeah yeah I know, I'm a flatlander) I'm looking to go do some off-roading with other Dakota lovers. I go now at my Uncle's house in Vermont(light logging roads, easy trails, nothing insane)except it takes 4-5 hours to get there. Was thinking of the Pine Barrens in South Jersey or Paragon in PA..My Dak is stock suspension 03 QC w/flowmaster, airaid, 31's..are there suitable trails at the 2 places I mentioned and is there anything in Southern NY,Conn, NJ, PA, even Southern Mass that is doable in my stock(boring) truck...thx

Had a brief prob with the Governor PRessure Sensor in the tranny. IT was in the shop 3 days before they could get the right part to replace.
Now it's running strong, with 45k on the odo.

The only bad news...
After my fender-bender last Nov. the missus won't let me take it off-road.
I might be able to wrangle a light trail ride, but I never know when the mudnuts are going.

Oh, and the Cooper tires are WAY better than the stock GY's!

Strange thing because i'm having problems with my wrangler's tranny as well. Took the dealer 2 weeks just to find the problem. Back and forth to the dealership ain't fun. And of course, any tire is better than the stock goodyears. When i had my dak, i immediately traded the goodyears for bridgestone mud terrains :)

Oh you'd do just fine with them. I had a 4x2 lifted 6 inches with 31 inch bfg's and i went riding with them. Of course we all got stuck that day cuz of 4 ft of snow. But your current setup should be fine with them. Most of them have 33's but with good wheelin skills, u can manage easily with 31's.
