What's up everyone..newbie here with a torsion bar question..well actually someone explain to me the ins/outs the why/why nots regarding getting some lift from my torsion bars. I drive a 03QC 4.7. I just traded up from 245/70/16's to 265/70/17's on new rims, looks killer they really look much bigger, but I'm experiencing a little rub at full lock on the front inner plastic. Is it hard to do(I have basic tools, mechanical experience) or should I have ashop do it. Does it effect drivability( I tow a camper alot, light logging roads and unimproved roads, nothing too serious) Can anyone help the FNG..THX

check out this site. http://www.geocities.com/dak2nv/torsion.html
I raised mine about 1" the other day, its easy you just need a 7/8 socket. you do have a 4x4 right? those stock tires seem a little small for an 03 4x4. I have a 03 that came with 265/75/16's stock and I don't see were there would be any rub with going 1" higher in rim size.

10-4 I have a 4x4...When i bought it I went to about 5 or 6 Dodge dealers on Long Island and every 2003 Dakota I saw had 245/70/16's on them..and your right they are small..look silly actually..I just put on 265/70/17's Nitto Terra Grapplers w/Enkei RT6 rims 17x8 and ..WOW what a difference..went from 29" with the stock to almost 32" with Nitto..anyway..thx for responding
