Can a 88 2wd rear end be replaced with a 88-90 4x4 rear end to allow the rear end to be below the leaf springs?

You dont have to swap the axle. Just have a shop weld on new spring perches. Then get new U bolts and put hte springs above the axle. No big deal. Later

If you did do that , how do you plan on raising the front end to even it out...or do you plan on having one of those redneck trucks with 33s out back and 29s in front?
