Once you stop the tires rubbing the frame with different rims , then they will be eating up your fenders.

You sure you're on stock rims? 15x8 wheels with 5.5" backspacing is what you want.

I'd go with 3.25 backspacing, that should cure your frame rub, but you'll probably have to trim alot of fender. There is no perfect solution.

5.5" backspacing is stock, so that's where you're at right now.. you might have to go with 32x11.5x15 tires

Can't you get under there and measure at full lock? See how much room you have to move the entire wheel out.

I have 32x11.5x15 on the stock 15x8 rims and I rub on the frame too so that is still a no go with my tire option. You'll need a different back spacing wheel and then cut the fendors.

I have a 4x4, no lift, 31x10x15 All Terrain tires on stock 15x8 wheels with 5.5" backspacing and I'm no where close to rubbing.

3.25 will solve frame rub. Pay attention.

If you don't mind your ball joints wearing out 3x as fast with wheels that stick way the fcuk out, then go ahead with 3.25 backspacing like Dr. D said. I don't give a shiat.

Theoretically, they would wear out 3x as fast, but in real world driving, not so. If you do have to change them out, it's because Dodge uses crappy parts. Ball joints were still original in my lifted 89 Toyota with 3.25 when I sold it with 237,600 miles. Still running strong. Love my V8 now though.

why dont you just adjust your steering limiter bolts? Crank your wheels until they almost hit the frame and then move the bolts out to meet. your turning radius will be greater, but you wont rub the frame.

Because there are no such bolts on a newer Dakota , the steering stops are built into the knuckle with no way to adjust it.
