I just bought a 1998 Dakota SLT club cab. I plan on getting a 2 inch lift. Does anybody know of any good places for offroad tires and wheels? I have found a few websites, but they have a poor selection. Any information about lift kits would be great too. Thanks

The only 2 inch lift out there is a body lift. You'll be able to run 32's with that. A 3 inch body lift would cost about the same as the 2 inch (~$150) and you can run 33's. If you plan to offroad and only want about 2 inches, I would go with Rancho's 3 inch lift. I think those can be had for around $1200. There are some people running 33's on stock rims with that setup. I have a Tuff Country 5.5 inch. I paid right around $1100 and am running 33x12.50 on stock rims. I have a very slight rub on the frame at full lock. I will soon be getting some 35's to run on different wheels.

As for were to get the stuff, I would pick up a copy of Petersen's 4 Wheel and Offroad. They have all kinds of ads. In my experience National Tire and Wheel seems to be a good place to get stuff from. Just to let you know, I have an extra set of the stock 15x8 10 spoke cast aluminums I could part with, if you're interested.

HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT THE DML HOME PAGE? IF YOU ARE A DML MEMBER (WHICH IS FREE) THEY HAVE A GROUP BUY FOR THE TUFF COUNTRY 5.5 SUSPENSION LIFT FOR ABOUT $1081 PLUS SHIPPING WHICH IS CHEAPER THAN THE RANCHO 3" AT ABOUT $1450. LET ME KNOW IF YOU'RE INTERESTED, I WANT TO BUY ONE.

I believe the reason the Rancho lift is more expensive is because it keeps the correct factory steering geometry and the Tuff Country does not.Am I Wrong??

I have a 2000 with a 2" body lift and I'm running 30/13.5 on 15x10 rims. They rub on my fender flares and front bumper. Like Griz said 32's would be perfect with the lift. I'm getting my 32/11.50 SSR's at the end of summer.
