Mighty Q,
Just got back from the Alpine loop, live in Missouri.
It was a great time and my 02 quad had no problems. The visitor center in Ouray had a nice map of the loop for $4.00. Didn't go through Engineer pass, went up cork-screw instead. This was a good ride and I was told it by-passed a boring rock garden on the way to Engineer.
Another good trail in the area was from Teluride(sp) to Ouray over Imogene pass. Don't think it would be as much fun going the other way.
Good luck and have fun. Greg
