Message: From what I hear those lifts are completely worthless. nothing lines up and you have to fab up things to make it fit. Thats what I heard.
personally I think if a company sells that kind of low quality it wont be around for long. Ive also heard bad things about their lowering kits. I installed one of their lowering kits on a buddys truck and it was a pain to get done cause I had to bend tabs and grind down some areas to make it fit.
Nothing major but Ive installed some other lowering kits that bolted on with no problems

Message: I recommend you type in Truckin suspension in the search area. You will see at least 4 threads on them. From there you should be able to decide if you really want to go that way.
There are a few here that will back the lift. Most here will not, even though they have prolly worked out the bugs. They blew it when they offered it here and then dropped the ball on Customer satisfation.
Please do the search.

Message: Not sure what year truck you have is but the only real option is the Rancho 3" lift and if you need more than that then a 3" PA body lift. This is for 2000 - 2002 trucks.

Message: I have a 97 sport ext cab and the rancho lift sounds like it is the best out there, so I will probably go with that.

Message: Has anyone heard about the 5.5" EZ ride lift from tuffcountry? They claim to be the best quality so if I can get some good reports, I would like to go with that lift because it is larger than the rancho lift

Message: Speaking of lifting daks, does anyone know if the suspension changed in 97"? I have a 95" and am loking for either IFS or a solid axle lift. I have been lookiing into it and really can't see any differences between old body and new. I know that newer daks have R&P, but do the 97's? Can anyone fill me in on this?

Message: Adam
The tuff country lift is ok if you plan on runing 33 cause that is all that you can fit under that lift. I will sell you my bent up f#ck country that is comming of of my 98 if you really want that lift. Go with the rancho and 3inch body and 35 or 33s and you will not have any probs. I have 37'' boggers and the lift cant handle the stress over time. Just remember If you lift it you constantly need to pay attn to your front end ive replaced the tierods, upper and lower ball joints and several brackets mainly the rear drop brackets that hold the bumpstops. I have to say that I did not have good luck with tuff country!

Message: I'm just going to say that I have my truck in the shop right now getting some parts fabbed up because i assume the bad design but the guy that did my lift first time was a F@&*ing idiot so he messed it up worse than what it was but now i have a pro working on it and he said I'll have no problems when hes finished, and this guy is pretty well known to fab up some crazy $hit that works. I think if you have somebody that knows what there doing that you wont have any problems.
P.S. the guys at truckin suspension ARE a$$holes!

Message: I installed a truckn suspension 6.5 in kit on my 01 quad cab. I didn't have any more problems than any other ifs kit I have done. The kit did line up with a little persuasion. The one thing that I have to say was bad were their instructions and tech support, but hey who needs them anyways, right. Anyways I was able to fit a set of 35/12.50 swamper ssr's under the truck. It looks great and drives good as well. So If any of you do this kit and need some advice send me a email, don't waist your time calling AIM as I don't think they're tech support has a clue. But as I have said before the kit is well built and bolts up nicely. My email is autojosh@earthlink.net.

Message: Rick depends what year your truck is. I think in 2003 they went to 4 wheel dics brakes and you need 16's.
I run bth 15 and 16" rims on my 2000. One has a street tire 16's and the other the MT's to off road with 15's

Message: PROBLEMS BIG PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I "was" very happy with my lift for the first 160 miles. Not any more, the kit caused stress on my third member housing and broke the brackets off, one from the housing and the other from the transmission. Any one else who has had any problems with a truckin, chassis tech or A.I.M. lift please let me know. It appears that I am going to get the run around from Truckin.
