Subject: fabtech, bringing up a old topic to them IP: Logged
Message: ok i just got off the phone with a guy in fabtech's tech dept. and he said that i was the first person to call about wanting a spindle lift for the gen III or even a long travel kit. i then asked how long he had been working with fabtech he stated "for about 2 yrs." i was floored. i asked "so your telling me no one has ever called about anything for the dakota, any year model?" he told me "yeah, but that was only before we came out with the lifts that we have for it." i then told him about glenn from GR Fab and him coming out with a long travel kit a spindle lift for it. he then responded to that by saying "so". WTF! dude i just about jumped through the freaking phone. this a$$hole basically said F*ck customer service and being polite. he was the biggest prick to me after that. i then asked "will you guys (fabtech) even consider a spindle lift or a long travel kit if he does one?" he then said "i don't think so" i asked "why not?" he was like "safety, we don't need lawsuits on our hands. that and i doubt that it would even work." i figured that if he wants to be a smart a$$ why shouldn't i. i then told about two other dakota owners that have custom front ends with coilovers shocks and the works and how they're getting in the range of 12-16" of wheel travel with the stock rack and pinion. and then i asked "now why is it that the rack and pinion wouldn't hold up to a few more inches of wheel travel or even just a spindle lift?" he then told me about if their kits blew out the r/p then they would get sued. i stopped him before i got frustrated worst then i was getting. ithen i asked "i just two more questions. first, why is it that a big named company like fabtech can let some little pi$$ ant fab shops out do you. and second, do the employees there at fabtech get issued estrogen, because it doesn't seem like anyone there has any balls." after that i had to hang up. this is getting to the point of me considering selling my dakota.

Message: you're the same guy that stopped the thread on the 2wd because I asked how you were going to put coil overs with out getting into something fabbed ...................Sorry josh I didn't know that glen was doing the lift just for you . I live about 1 hour from were glen is at and 15 min away from kartech in riverside . If you don't like what glen told me why you get pissed off at me ?????? Plus don't you want alot of guys to come together so we can have somebody make a lift for us ????? The rack and pinnion is not the problem , all those are just excuses , all the trophy trucks and alot of the truck that prerun have rack and pinnion , the problem is travel , you have to cut the nipple for the spring housing to put a coil over or something to that extent through , if not how are you going to get travel ???? so you have to cut it and then fab some way to attach the top of the coil over , like the black durango , the arms could be made and the spindle , you could add an extension like the durango , what happens with fabtech is one I have called numerous times to bitch like you , but unless they have alot of buissnes they wont do it ........

Message: dude i work at fabtech and the reason they dont make a long travel kit for it is because there wasnt a big enough market for the daks to have long travel and it seems to me like your just some little piss ant thats pissed so he needs to run his mouth and if you are so worried about long travel(which your prolly just a pavement pounder anyways)go to your buddy at the hole in the wall shop and get it done that way when your suspension breaks going down the road and something flies off and kills some then youll feel real good cause you HAD long travel so quit your bitchin and talk about something useful
