Subject: Which Off Road Lights? IP: Logged
Message: I have a roll/light bar in the bed of my '99 (Dee Zee single tube) and I was wondering which lights are the easiest to hook up to them since they will be so far away from the battery? Any help would be great!!

Message: Depends what u want to spend, you can get lights with the wiring harness and switches/relay, just have to follow directions. I hooked mine up myself that way i could choose the wire size/fuses/types of switches and was cheaper.

Message: Wow your truck's lookin' great. Do those KC lights have enough wire from the factory harness to get all the way to the top of the roll bar or did you have to make your own wires? I'm lookin' to spend around $100 on a set.(I only want 2 lights)

Message: i just went out and bought the right size guage wire, fuses and switches and relay. It took about 120 feet of #12 wire for me, but i've got extra wires and i dont know what length comes with the harness.

Message: Matt-
I'm selling a pair of KC 6" 150W Black shock-mounted Daylighters. I'm only asking $90 if you want them. email alesis@juno.com. If you want to do install them yourself, which is MUCH cheaper, go to kchilites.com and go to the FAQ section. It will have a downloadable version of the relay instrucations. Then just use at least 18 guage wire (I used 14) and measure out what you need. The rest is explained pretty easily in the download. If you don't have much technical knowhow w/ stuff like this, just buy the harness for the lights. As far as which to go with, it's like anything else. You're price range is from $20-$1500! The high end are HID systems, and are only for the filthy rich. ;) The industry standard lights are KC and Hella. Both great. I prefer KC's light pattern more (less "pencil" spot beam, more flooded). I'm currently in the process of installing a 5 light KC set on my 92 Dak. Let me know if ya wanna buy mine, or need any help at all.
