Subject: Offroad lighting and 4x4 haters! IP: Logged
Message: Just wondering, what is the best off-road lighting product out there? It seems KC's arent up to par, coming from a source(Lemmers) on these forums. As a matter of fact i dont think he liked 4x4's either, oh well maybe i should buy another 6 100watt Piass/procomps/hella... or maybe a 2wd and lower it.

Message: I have two 4x8 rectangular tractor spotlights and those are more than enough light, pluss they were about half the cost of Daylighters.

Message: I just installed 2 6" 150w KC Dayliters on my bar. I haven't gotten to test them off road yet, but I can tell you they're BRIGHT. I can light up the side of a building 1/2 mile away EASILY. I just order 2 100w KC 6" floods and one 150w 6x9 long range. I also custom installed two h3 driving lamps into my rear bumper for reverse/utility lamps. I'll post some pics when I get it. But so far, I love my lights.
I will say this tho...if you plan on running them for more than a few minutes at a time, and you're NOT using their wiring kit, spring the extra $2 and buy a heavy duty GLASS in-line fuse holder and a 25a fuse for them. The .99 plastic holders just meltwith a 20A fuse. ;)
