Message: I just got back from working at a 300-mile offroad desert race in Nevada, where they race bikes, quads, buggies, and the big trucks. I made a mental note to see what tires these guys choose to carry them over the grueling and unforgiving desert terrain going an average of 50 mph.
The "OFFICIAL" tire of the race is sponsored by GoodYear, which means they put upfront money for that recognition, and pay some money to the winners if they use GY tires, but I noticed BF Goodrich tires are used more than GY to the ratio of 4:1. A lot of those BFG's were the A/T tire, but they also use the Baja tire and some others I didnt recognize. The smallest tire was 31", but I'd say the average was 33".
