Subject: Skid plate toughness IP: Logged
Message: Yesterday, I was doing some trail riding up in the mountains in my 93 4x4 Dakota w/318 and decided to take a different trail. I went up hill and came to a series of dirt "mounds" that stretched across the trail and were abot 10' wide by 12" thick and they were space about 40 feet down the trail. The first was no prob, but I got high centered on the second. It wasnt too bad, nothing mashing the gas in 4hi couldnt fix since my rear tires were still planted. Anyway, when I got back to camp, I noticed my t-case skid plate was bent upwards in the middle enough for me to notice without removing it. Just wondering if anyone else has damaged their skid plates aswell.

Message: I cracked the same skid plate nearly in half when I bottomed out. Better that than the transfer case though
