If I get a 3" body lift for my 2000 Dakota 2WD, how much bigger can the tires be with NO rubbing problems? Or should I just wait on the tires until I get the 3" susp. lift too? My only problem is I don't know what tires sizes will fit with what lift setups. Does anyone know anything that could help here?

I have a 3" body lift, 3" susp lift and the bars turned as far as they would safely go on a 2001. I'm running 35's on 8 inch wheels with NO problem.

Ricky if you have your "bars" turned up as far as they will go , you must have a 4WD.
scullyways was talking about 2WDs.

I`d like to see some pics. though.

So 31's will fit no problem with just the body lift? I want absolutely NO rubbing without any trimming. Then by the time I can afford a 3" suspension lift, I should have used up the 31's anyway and can go with 32's. Also, is the 3 3/4" backspacing a problem when looking for rims? Ive never really heard anything about backspacing until I read up on lifts. Thanks.

Is there any down side to adjusting those bars? I've looked at them often, but never touched them?
I have 275/70or75/16 mud tires, and they rub only at full turn.
So I'm wondering if I should give them a little turn to get the front of my truck up an inch or so. My truck stands lower in front right know anyways, this would even her up, right?

one or two full turns won't hurt anything.

If I lift my body 3" and put 32's on my stock rims (assuming they will fit) how bad will the rubbing be? My sisters boyfriend is getting 33's for his jeep, and he has 32's that might be for sale. I don't know rim size or anything, but Im wondering how bad the rubbing is. What needs hacking if I need to? The wheel wells look pretty small on Dakotas, and I wouldn't think a 32 could possibly fit without some serious lifting.

they will most likely rub the frame at full lock weither 31's or 32's with no back spaceing. you will have to trim the front of the bumper and some of the rubber lineing. honestly do a test fit with the 32's. or when your boy puts his 33's on have them put one of the 32's on one of your rims like the spare and then bolt it up in the driveway and see if the trimming is two much for you.

I'll take some pics of what I trimmed tommorrrow and link them up.
3inch suspension. 15x10 3.62backspaceing 31-12.50 x-terrains no rubbing on street.
