Message: Added stress on the front suspension parts! This may cause premature failure from there original design intent of some parts, ball joints and suspenson / steering parts. I cranked mine and had no problems. Even with the Sus lift on I had to crank them a bit to help for more clearance.
Just one of those things. Depends on how you treat your truck.

Message: Chris,
Just got my beast back from dealer at S.C.C.& D.(AGAIN!) for front end noise prob that I have been having. I have seen many posts about the substandard quality ball joints prematuraully wearing out. I pointed that out to them. Well, they said that the front swaybar bushings were cracked and deformed. Noise is still present. The other day I removed the stock skids and did me own visual. What I saw was the lower control arm bushings severally disfigured on both sides. So I am thinking that could be the cause. Do you know of a good source for hi quality lower control arm bushings? Like they say, If you want it done right -do it yourself. Once again, the dealer missed the mark.

Message: Hey Mike!
I have been meaning to drive the extra 1/2 mile out of the way to see you.
Interesting you just mentioned this. I have a Buddy, DJ, coming over on Sunday to replace my upper Ball joints to the MOOG's. I have sen post listing the part numbers for both around here. My lowers are fine so far. My uppers the boots cracked and the right side looks crushed a bit compared to the Left side.
If you can maybe you should drop by Sunday and we can discuss it. we can all scratch are heads and see if DJ is ready to tackle them or even you if he has what is needed. I think I have the removal instructions in the manual using the puller. I ordered the upper ball joints at rock auto.com. They are the one for the 97-99's but they work and quit a few have changed over to these with no problems.
Not sure what time yet Sunday but if inerested let me know and I will let you know when we start.
WTF are you doing going to DODGE and SCC at that!!!???
I feel much better hearing Smitty tell me whats wrong and if it is a covered job or not than SCCD. More convienient to! His techs are way better than the local dodge guys who thrash your crap! Sorry Mike but my last run in with SCCD left me real pissed with both dodge and SCCD and I only wanted a friggin part and they blew that!

Message: After reading previous posts on lowering 4X4, yes i want to lower it and if you dont like it its just too bad isnt it! lol jk
if adjusting the torsion bars (up to a 2" drop) will affect ride (which i have to say is very loose stock), will getting performance shocks 2" shorter compensate? possible a sway package too? which i am considering getting with or without a drop
any info would be great thanks
