Does anybody know how much it would cost to do a solid axle swap on my 92 dakota? Also, how do I go about doing it? How much cheaper are lifts once you do the solid axle swap or do you have to custom make them?

i'm doing my 92 right now. it's cheaper to go with the trailmaster lift 4". with the solid axle swap you shuold get around 8" of lift plus more with larger tires. the cost. well it could vary. $1000 got me everything of the donner vichel that i was using. both axles stearing ect. anthere $1000 to have them regeared and bearings seals etc. plus a posi was put in for now. so you could save some here by not regearing and run the same size tires. also front springs around 300. plus odes and ends so yes a kit is cheaper but a soild axle is steonger and cooler this is canadian prices.
