Subject: What Did You Pay IP: Logged
Message: If yall dont mind me asking, what did you pay for installing F&R gears in a 4WD? Just curious about come qoutes so I have an idea of what to expect. I am just re-gearing, no lockers etc, I have the stock LSD. Thanks

Message: that's waaaay too much. using the group buy, the gears should run in the $400 range.

Message: That is INSTALLED. That is new gears front and rear, new bearings front and rear, gaskets, gear oil, and a new front carrier.
Most trucks are at least $1,000. The IFS makes the front a little harder plus the guy I go to has only done 1 other Dana M35 so his labor is a little higher.
Before you go buy your gears in a group buy you may want to check with your installer. Most places won't warranty gears unless they provide them. If something happens down the road then you are screwed. Mine will have a lifetime warranty. I highly recommend getting everything from the installer (Mine gave me the gears at his cost from Randy's R&P)
