Subject: hubs wont engage IP: Logged
Message: i have a 1989 dakota and when i shift into 4 hi or 4 low hubs will not engage. shaft turns to front diff. but will not engage. help!!!!!!!!!!

Message: hey walt, about the WD40, i tried that and it dint turn out so grweat, worked for a day then quit, so i recomend tearing the whole cover off the shifter fork and shift collar and cleaning it all out and then coating it with a small abount of differential oil, (gear oil) and making sure your front differential fluid is all the way up to where its saposed to be when all is said and done because i took mine off and got all the oil from it and i think it came in from the diffy,
sorry for dragging up and OLD a$$ post but it cought my attention
