 Subject: Front Axle Swap? 92 4x4

I've created a serious problem with breaking my front spiders. Since nobody offers a locker or anything else for the front (7.25 chrysler). I was curious if anyone has done an axle swap, or knows about one that will be an easy fit. If I have to do a axle swap I'd prefer a straight axle. Can anyone offer me some suggestions? Thanks

i have a 94 4x4 and i want a suspension lift but there is only one for my truck. and you cant gear the 7.25 to 4.56. so i talked to a couple custom shops of you wanna do just the front look for and older jeep cherokee i think it is a dana 35, or a new dakota or durango which is the dana 44, or i chose to go with full-size axles from an old bronco dana 44 front and ford 9" rear this way i can gear it right. the reason they said these axles is because the transfer case is on the driver side and so are the pumpkins on these axles. hope that helps.

i havent done it yet but still researching it. i have the axles to do the swap just waitin to get money. but i will keep you filled in. if you have any questions i might beable to help.

I have been researching swaping a front solid axle into my 98 durango but i dont know who i could have perform such a procedure... Not only that but also how much it could cost (ballpark). If any of you guys know something i dont know, please fill me in.

I read somewhere that another person had their spider gears heat-treated or some other strengthening process done, and never had the problem again...
