Subject: 4.10 Gear Options on a 4x4 IP: Logged
Message: What choices are out there for 4.10 gears in a 4x4? Does Mopar make a set or is there only aftermarket companies that offer them? I read that on a 4x4 you need to change both the front and rear gears, so which companies offer the complete set and what are their prices? Is there anyone on here that has 4.10 gears on a 4x4 that can comment on them. Also, can you change the front and rear gears and still retain your warrenty or will this void the warrenty? Thanks for the help

Message: for 97-99's there are 4.10's avalable from any gear manufacturer, I'd remommend Randy's R&P. The highest available for 2000+ trucks is 3.92's from the dealer.
By the end of April I should have my 4.10's in!

Message: I have been patiently waiting on the 4:10 gears also.
Randy's ring and pinion is working on the front diff gears for us now. they are in a beta phase and should be released by june.
it will only void a warrenty if it causes the damage. or is considered road damage.
Void is the wrong word, your warrenty will not be voided, just what ever damage is done by the after market part will not be covered.

Message: Thanks. Is Randy's R&P currently making 4.10 gears for 2000+ Dakotas for just the front Diff or are they going to offer a complete front & rear set? There are no other companies out there that offer 4.10's for the 2000+ Dakotas, i can't believe that.
