I went from 17 to 15 with aftermarket wheels but stock It had 15inchers on 2000 dak. I'm pretty sure you can do it as most people are running the 589 eagles in 15 inch.

I run both sets of stock rims on my truck no problem. 285x75x16 AT's BFG and 33x10.5x15 MT BFG's. I also run the GEN II 15x7 rims but I loaned them out. I am constantly switching tires depending on where and when I am going wheelin.

Never late for a Tee time or wheelin with my buddies! Always ready for both!!!

do you guys know if there was more than one breaking system put on the 4x4 dakotas? the reason i ask is because the guys at dakotatrucks.com are saying it won't work. i looked at my breaks and have more than an inch of room between my breaks and the inside of my wheel.

Ian, on a 2003 I am not sure (waiting for mine right now) but on any previous year the base rims have always been a 15" and therefore you can definitely fit a 15" rim if the backspacing is correct.
