Subject: tire size/mpg??? IP: Logged
Message: I am running 31x10.5x15 and getting about 11 mpg in the city. If I go to 33x12.5x15, what kind of mpg loss can I expect? Thanks

Message: Depend on if you regear.
For info go to http://www.procomptires.com/fourwheelerrivew.html adn/or http://www.4wheelparts.com/Tirel_Gear_Ratio.asp
This links have to do with finding tire size and gear ratios

Message: I agree. I did the same..31s-33s and my gas milage sucked before and after. 10-11MPG city , 12-13 HWY. I find it hard to believe when some say they`re getting 16 city and 20 highway , mine never came close to those #s. I do however get the milage that`s on the w/sticker , so it`s not like I didn`t know before I bought it!

Message: I have a 99 Dak 5.2L 4x4 with 3:55 gears and I'm running the 32x11.5x15 pro comp all terrains and I get about 10 -11 in the city and 13-14 on the highway.
I think when I switch to 33s I'm going to go with the 4:10 gears so I can pull the boat better this summer.
Gas mileage is pretty much going to still suck either way I look at it.
