I was wondering if anyone is running 4.56 gears on their truck? I am looking at doing this to my 98 v6 4x4 but I haven't been able to find the gears for the dana 35. I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

I am running 33's now and will be putting on 35's at the time of the gear swap so that issue is already addressed. But any input on other issues that I haven't thought of would be greatly appreciated.

I had 4.56s in the rear of my 99 V8 Dakota CC ,that was on 38s. I never did the front because I was going to do a solid axle swap , but ended up selling it for my 02 QC 4WD.
I was very happy with the performance , it even felt a little stronger than stock , even with the big tires.

BTW... no , I never used it in the 4WD mode with different gears front and back.

I believe Randys ring and pinion has 4.56s for the front end of the 97-99 Dakotas, at least they told me they did when I ordered my rear gears.
