Hello my name is kendall,im 16 and have a 2002 dodge durango sxt 4x2.Im planning on trading in my durango for a 4x4 dakota quad cab.I was just wondering,do ya'll have any problems with the dakota 4x4 transmissions?.What about with the lift kits?I'm lookin at a tuff country lift,35'' parnelli jones dirt grips, and a 3 inch body with other accessories. What would i have to do to the actual truck other than driveshaft and brake lines.thanks, kendall

Can't say that I can remember if a Quad Cab can have the TC lift put on it... If it can then it is a good lift as I had it on my truck and had no problem with the standard transmission. With 8" lift you can clear 35's and it would look sweet. By the way you don't have to do anything with the driveshaft or brake lines as they are taken care of in the lift kit.

Good luck with everything.

2000+ dakotas/durangos only have 2 options for lifting because they have rack and pinion and the 97-99 don't.

you can get a 3in rancho which should come out at anytime or the 3in Body lift. There are a few other compainies that make lifts, but they are kind of shady...

if you search the boards for "truckin suspension" you will see what i am talking about...

Good luck with your lifting
