Message: California Super Trucks sells them for a 2wd.

I have a set that I never put on. It will lift from an 1" to 1.5". I don't know if they'll work for a 4wd and can't remember the cost.

Message: Shackle extensions on a 4x4 will lower the rear.
If you want to raise the rear, use blocks.

Message: I'm trying to figure out how longer shackles will lower a 4x4 ? Leaf springs are leaf springs on top or under the axles. Longer shackles will raise it plus give a better ride. Tell me why I'm wrong.
So many problems .... So little time

Message:
On my 2004 4x4, the rear end of the leaf spring is above the frame anchor point, and the frame is effectively hanging from the shackle, rather than being held up by it.
On many vehicles, where the shackle goes up from the spring to the frame, longer shackles will raise the vehicle.
On the Dakota 4x4 (mine anyway), the shackle goes down from the spring to the frame, and there isn't much room between the frame anchor point and the underside of the bed for more than a 2" longer shackle, which would lower the truck about an inch.
2WD Dakota rear spring setup may be different, I haven't checked.
