Message:

i noticed that my bed seemed to be moving around while accelerating, so i am going to tighten it up this weekend. it has been almost a year since i put the body lift on and i cant find my instructions anywhere. does anyone know how many ft/lbs of torque the bolts should be tightened to??

i have the 3in PA body lift for the 97-99 4x4.

thanks

Kevin

We are gonna miss you this weekend Bud!

Have you found out what problems your truck is having, yet?

I will have my site updated when I get back this weekend. I also will be adding photo's of the new Front Drive shaft that was custom built and has grease points. My mech knows how to take care of me!

Just use "german torque", goodentight. Seriously, unless you are really wrenching down on them(1/2 drive or bigger), you are not going to overtighten anything.

If my memory is correct it is 50ft/lbs on the body mounts... No liability here though...

thanks for the quick reply everybody.

FourxFore-

still no word on the truck. this weekend i an going to check the engine/ tranny mounts because that could be causing the noise i am hearing.

you are lucky you got that driveshaft. when i got my clutch replaced in september, my mech. told my that my front driveshat had siezed because it is so close to the exahust that all of the grease stopped working. they said it was a
b!tch to fix because you can grease them.

have fun and be safe this weekend.

Yeah my mech told me to keep it good and greased. The exhaust is basically wrapped around this front drive shaft CV.

I just did mine yesterday, the body mounts should be tightened to 55lbs, but I just went with the german method.
