Does anyone know if the DANA 35 from a 97'-99' will bolt in place of the 8.2" that comes in the 00'-up trucks? There is jacks**t available for gear selection in the 8.2", but all kinds of ratios for the DANA 35.

I'm not sure, but I do know that the same axle diff is used in the new Ram 1500 so the aftermarket should be picking up on it very soon.

No, the Axle off a '97 -'99 won't bolt up. The brackets and mounting points are different. i've already thought about that because a buddy of mine wanted my front axle when i go to straight axle, but we looked at it and measured it out and they are completely different.
