Well everyone, the Baja Dak is starting the long road to recovery, the first lower control arm was fabbed and fitted today. YEAH!!!!!! The Trucks estimated return to road date will be the 30th.

dude you got balls doing what you're doing , how you going to insure it after ????? looking good , what about the front brackets for bumper and hood , all that got damaged ????? Holy crap , but you gonna have a mean dak , put up pics when done , and do you have a "refer a friend" program to do another long travel ??????

I think I am going to take my bed off too! I am thinking about jumping my dak off a 15 foot tall jump and taking out a loan. Good idea!

No, I've officailly retired form the dakota jumping business for a little while, can't afford another mishap like that one for a year or two, once this one gets paid off i'll get a little more recless again. The glass came in this morning and I have to call about getting the GTS hood shipped, but the guys at Baja Concepts are handling that one. After I get it back I need to find someone that insures aftermarket parts AND offroad, can't wait to see the next insurance bill.

We're heading out to Ocatillo next weekend so pictures will be plenty!

Thanks dweishaar. Nothing more I'd rather do than go but I just starting on removing my intake because the plentum(Bellypan Gasket)needs to get fixed. It's been coughing up oil through the TB. I want to get it fixed before I take it out. Hey, want to see some pics when you get back.
Wouldn't want any other!
