Message: Interesting you can get it to you in a week when it is not due to be shipped and released from the factory until 1-31-03.
I already ordered and am hoping to get it as soon as it hits 4 wheel parts warehouse.

Message: Nobody has installed the new Rancho lift for Rack-n-Pinion Dak's yet since it has not been released to the public. I am on the waiting list at 4wheelparts also for delivery once the lift arrives. I live near Syracuse NY and was going to wait until the weather got better but knowing me, I will not want to have a lift sitting and collecting dust so will just install it before springtime hits lol.
The only other option for your Dak is Truckin Suspension and the verdict on if they are being made better now is up in the air for me anyway, others say they have it with no problems but I like Rancho and they did almost 2 years of R&D before actually putting their lift out, so they get my business. 3" Rancho + 3" body lift will be plenty for my needs and allow me to run 35x12.50's or 33x14.50's on rims that stick out further than stock and add more stability and better looks IMO.

I am supposed to be able to get mine as soon as they hit 4 wheel parts warehouse in LA. Prolly 2-3 since 1-31 is a Friday. But I am still trying for that. From what I understand it it is supposed to be a great Lift and solid. I guess I will see by Presidents weekend.

Message: I was hoping they wouldn't oversell what they expected to get in, I have been on the reserve list for a black kit since almost 2 weeks ago and didn't give them my cash yet for that reason. They told me I would get a phone call the same day they were ready to be shipped from their warehouse to take my credit card info so hopefully they come through otherwise I'll buy the lift somewhere else and won't have to deal with waiting(don't want to:) and getting my $$ back first:) I did already order the RS9000 shocks needed after lift though and they should be here soon.

Chris, did 4wheelparts price match the other place less 10% too or are you now buying through performancelifts.com? That must have dropped it considerably from the $1,800+ you were quoted. With the cost savings I will go with the X's and have the adjustability:)
Thanks Corey!

Message: Hey Guys
Thanks for the Rancho info. I'm definitely getting one soon. I have a question though. How come a lift costs so much for so little equipment? I understand it takes money for research and development but DAMN. The cost to make the few pieces of metal and bolts can't be more than a 100 bucks. If they make a lot of them it costs them even less. I just don't get the $1200 price tag for most of these lifts. If anybody can explain this to me it would be great. Thanks

Also,
I now have two questions for you experts. Not sure what the lift block size is for the new rancho kits but if I were to get ones .5" taller, do I need new shocks?
Secondly, has anyone got any info on the exhaust modification for the 4.7 non-california emissions? Mine has a single cat.
Thanks.

Message: Just called 4wheel parts spoke to another Jeff.
Free shipping 'till friday save about $70.
He said the lift is going for $1300, couldn't give me a price on the skid. He said Rancho hadn't set a price on the skid so he can't sell them yet- doh.
He also said $300 xtra for the 9000's...I said I saw the 9000's for $120 more-
he said no way- I said goodbye, too much b/s.
I'm going to wait 'till after it's released and get it through Summit, as I want to get the lift, the skid, and the shocks in one order.
I might be wrong but I think Cali emissions has the 3 cats.

Message: Before anyone runs out and buys the lift, Im working with Central 4 Wheel Drive on a group buy. So far, this is definately the best price I have seen or heard of. I sent him an E-mail asking if he would also include shipping, so Ill let you know as soon as I hear. Keep in m ind that this price includes 4 Rancho 9000x shocks!
James,
I can do allot better than that, if your Dakota Club members want to purchase 3 lifts from me, I can do the Lifts for $1310.00 including the 9000X Shocks (4).............what do you think?? But I do have to order the Kits directly from Rancho Suspension........

Message: I finally went back to the place I bought my lift with the Price info from Perormance lifts. It was obvious that the Manager of the store who had to get me the credit was having a really bad day previous to my arrival. He was intrupted with a few calls that sounded to be from upper management about something that was a real major issue and also the fact that they were looking for some guys keys to his Taco so he could leave.
Good thing for me was I ended up with a good price $1350.00 Includes tax, shipping, and Shocks RSX9000. I think he made a mistake but after seeing all the problems he was dealing with I decided to just let it go. Maybe this was right.

James,
Shipping is one thing that's not included.........depending on how many orders we do at once, I can see if Rancho might throw in the shipping is we order in bulk...........
