Message: Ok, just got off the phone with Central 4 Wheel and they said that all you had to do was call them and explain you are with the group buy for the Rancho 2000+ Dodge Dakota lift that was set up by Rich Novo their sales guy. Make sure you tell them that the total price for the lift, RS9000x Shocks and shipping was agreed to as a package deal for $1385 and they will give you that price.

Then they also said that the pre-ordered lifts will start shipping out next week. I am hoping I get mine by Weds. I really hoped to do a Will call PU but you cant. We spoke to Carry at Rancho CS at 1030 today. Guess I will just have to wait and see if I get delayed in shipping.

Message: Im still waiting to here back from Central on the Cut Off Date. Ill let you know as soon as I hear.
I did receive an E-mail from Rich indicating:
As of Friday, this kit was backordered until 2/14/03. As of today, it's backordered until 2/27/03.
At the rate these kits are selling, I would suggest buying one ASAP if you want it anytime soon.
Rich is still taking orders on the kit and forwarding them to Rancho, but it seems Rancho wasn't prepared for this level of sales. Seems like Rancho just can't get their act together when it comes to the Dakota.

Message: I just got off the phone with Rancho and the kit has been released. The kit is on back order. A "build date" has been set for 2/20/03 to fill the orders in the system. The Rancho Sales person felt the 2/27/03 date was given to allow time for shipping. She also expected that future orders would probably be pushed back to March for completion.
Also, if you do make a purchase through this buy, please post indicating you have done so. I'm going to track this, so that we can use high (hopefully) sales numbers to extend the length of the buy or for future group buys with Central.

Message: Blackdak02
When I spoke with Rancho, the sales person looked up the part number for the kit in her computer and found that they did not have any kits to send out due to lack of supply. There was a "build date" in the system for 2/20 during which they would build kits to fill the orders in the system. (I dont know the cut off date for that) Rancho is still taking orders and placing people on a first come, first served shipping list.
I recommend that you call central and have them process your order. This will put you on the waiting list at Rancho and Rancho will ship the kit as soon as they have one available. If you wait to process your order, you wont get on Ranchos ship list until you do so.
All this info is based on two phone calls with rancho and 3 with central in the last four days. Including one with Rich yesterday afternoon during which I had him process my order.
Im as frustrated with all of this run around as you are beleive me. Setting up this buy is taking a lot more time than I had originally planned on but it will all be worth it when I finally have a lifted truck.

I just got the info on the lift not being shipped and the Rancho orders that were received by 4wheel parts the guy just assumed they were included in the shipment. I spoke to Rancho on 1-31-03 and they said they were shipping that day and through the next week all pre-ordered kits.
Not anymore! Should have know it was to good to be true. Optimisim kills sometimes!

Message: Well, I cancelled my order(waiting list only, hadn't paid) with 4wheelparts as they couldn't price match Central 4WD. I just placed order with Central 4WD, s/w Rich this time paid in full so I am on a "real" waiting list. I also ordered a tow strap for me and street scene grille shell w/inserts for the wives Dak to go with the SS Bumper Cover, oops forgot to order bumper cover inserts, better call them back. Anyway, gotta a great deal on the other stuff, basically free shipping along with the best price I could find on the web to boot! Thanks wildhawk, now hopefully we can have our lifts shipped by months end(fingers crossed).
