Message: Ok, sorry to re-hash an old topic, but I've browsed many of the existing threads and did not find the answers I'm looking for.
First...most of you seem to be running the 15" rims. I have the optional 16" rims, so what would be a good tire for these? They do not seem to be standard as most tires are 265/75R16 and the stock tires were 265/70R16
Second...I do a lot of highway driving, but want to be able to run some light trails every so often. I'm looking for a tire that will last many miles of highway driving, yet still clear mud and snow better than these stock GYs. These tires (the GYs) are horrible in snow. The truck slides all over the place and I can see the tires getting packed with the snow.
I'm not ready to add a lift to it yet, so I'll probably stick close to the stock size (and the wife would kill me if I even talk about trimming the fenders).
so, any suggestions?
Michael

Message: One suggestion at stock height are BFG AT's in 265x75. They'll be about an inch taller than your stock tires, and great offroad without sacrificing road manners. Alot of guys are running them w/ little to no rubbing, I think most had to crank their torsion bars about .5-1.5". Do a search for detailed instructions, but it's pretty easy to do. You will have to get the front end aligned when you are done.

Message: I agree with McCracken, I just put the BFG AT's on my truck and I love them! I have 285/75/16's and I had to do a little trimming but not too bad. I don't think you should have any problems with the 265's assuming you have a 4x4. Hope this helps..

Message: I just bought the pro comp all terrain. Same ratings as the bfg a/t, but a couple of bucks cheaper. I had bfg a/t on my cherokee and now I put the pro comps on and my wife says its a nicer ride.
