There's a guy at work that runs them on his jeep. I'll check with him about all the specs and get back to you in a couple days.

i run 33x12.50 buckshots on my 01' dodge dakota 4x4. if youre a hard core 4x4 kinda guy, then i wouldnt recommend them. they cake up with mud in the treads way to easily and you cant get much traction. but if youre on the road 85% of the time and want a good look and good ride, then hell yeah, i love them! and the tread last a long time, but if youre big time into mudding, then go with super swampers, or mickey t's.

Finally got back to the guy at work. He pretty much said the same thing as brandon, that they don't clean very well. He said he has ~25k miles on them and they're wearing pretty good with a lot of life left. They do look pretty good on his jeep.

i run a set of buckshot pr 78. the original buckshot not that pissy maxxis mudder. i run the radials on my 02 chevy and they work great in the mud. i wouldn't recommend anything else unless you want to go with the bias-ply which is even better. and i also have a set of used ones i will sell

I just purchased a set of 305/70/17 maxxis mudders for my 03 f-150. I haven't had a chance to try them out in some serious mud yet, but they are quiet on the pavement and ride very well.

I got Buckshots about 3 weeks ago. They're nice on the highway, and I've had them through some fairly deep mud holes the past few weekends with no problems. They handle the mud pretty well, but that's been mud with lots of water...couldn't tell you yet how they do in the gumbo mud. So far I'm pretty pleased with them. I got a good deal on them ($99/tire +mount&balance), and they look really nice.

As far as wear goes, I couldn't tell you since I don't have that many miles on them yet, but one of the reasons I got them was research I did said that most people are saying they wear pretty well.

Great for the Price, but if you have the money get a ProComp, Mickey T, or a Super Swamper. You wouldn't be disappointed.

I have a set on my 79 Dodge Powerwagon and get in the pits out on the river, play on the farm, crawl in the creek and never have a problem until my truck just decides to bottom out and sit on the frame. Then I have to get the winch cable out.

RE: best damn mud/drag rac'n tire there is
IP: Logged

Message:
don't even mention buckshot tire unless you mean the bias bly, this tire almost has 1" tread depth in the middle, only one other tire comes close and that is the bogger/super swamper. Tire specs give them a tie at 29/32. If anyone says buckshots suck in the mud, they must of never been mudd'n or mud rac'n
