Im interested in getting some wheels for my 1997 dakota 2WD. I like the American Racing Atlas wheels either 15x7 or 15x8. Right now I have the stock 15x7 wheels. Does anyone know the bolt pattern on these wheels for my truck? Also, what does back spacing mean on wheels? The Atlas wheels have a back spacing of 4 3/4. Does anyone know the back spacing on my 15x7 wheels.
I´d appreciate the feedback. Im hopefully going to order them on Friday.
By the way, I found them at www.wheelsforless.com for $99.00 each. Great price!

Our bolt pattern is 6x4.5". Unfortunately this is a rare bolt pattern so it is hard to find good wheels that will fit. As far as backspacing, I think both the 15x8 and 15x7 stock wheels are 5.5". This is a high backspacing which means that the wheels are tucked well into the fenderwells. A low backspacing would be 3.25" which cause the wheels to stick further out of the fenderwells (makes for a wider stance). A backspacing of 4 3/4 should work great.

Thanks for the information 97_blk_dak. As a matter of fact the AR Atlas wheels that I´ll probably get have a back spacing of 4 3/4. So that should work out well.

hey , that's a good deal on those rims , at 4 wheelparts they are 173 each , nice looking rims , I was gonna send you a pic of one that I thought had those rims , but it's not , nice rim , like it ..............

I also like the wheels that come with the RT Dakota. I know their 17x9. It would be cool if they sold 15x7 or 15x8 in that style. Then you could put bigger tires.
Does anyone know if I can find them like this somewhere, it doesnt have to be exactly the same design but similar.
