Subject: Rancho 3" Lift for 2000+ in January?
IP: Logged

Message:
Searched the archives briefly and did not see this posted. So many messgaes in the archive - if this is old news then apologies.

Rancho's web site has part number and description for the 2000+ Dakota 3" lift and a ship date the end of January. See the following link:

http://www.gorancho.com/products/new_RS6560.stm

I'll be second but who's converting first?

:-)

Im planning on doing this ASAP. We'll have to see how much the complete kit costs, and if i can do it in my driveway without air tools. But if rancho says it can be done, i'll be ordering one of these kits as soon as i can get the money in the bank. I'll take lots of pics and do a good write up of the install when i finally get the kit.

Me too. I already got the money for the lift and a new set of 33's + rims ;-)

I'm going to talk to a local autoshop in my town to get a quote. If it's not rediculous, I'll have them do it. Otherwise, I'll tackle it with a couple friends then send it to be aligned.

I was one of the earlier guys who did the PA lift as well. So combined with the susp. lift, should look pretty darn sweet.

I'll post it all as well on my site if I do it in the driveway.

--Oh - if anyone has any recommendations on rims, I'm open. Such as diff's between alloy/steel, etc... I'm already set on the BFG Mudders.

thanx

Anyone know what kind of exhaust modification this is going to require?

I've got the 4.7, 15X8" wheels, Non-california emissions.

Also, anyone know what size the blocks are in the rear? I'm guessin' 1" but I'm not sure.

Wow, it is a small world! I remember seeing that ford turn onto 95 and head south. I was stopping for the stop light, and i heard it accelerate, and i thought "damn that ford's got some power." So i caught up to get a better look. And its a good looking truck. He' needs new rims and tires tho. :)

Yeah man, get in touch with me. We'll have to hook up after x-mas or something. Maybe by chance we'll get the lifts at the same time and put them on at the same time. That'd be a sweet picture shoot, two daks getting lifts side by side. Anyways, shoot me an email, or when i get to work i'll send you my number.

Those are my snow wheels and tires. I run 35X12.50R16.5's during the summer. I would just run them all year round, but when you are hauling a trailer with snowmobiles up the mountain passes, you want thin tires. BTW, your dak sounds pretty beefy too, wish I had a supercharger. We'll definately have to do the lifts. Shiftrider needs the extra 3". Although, I think it will still be smaller than mine.
