Message: Just installed'm- much better than stock. Very silky smooth ride yet VERY controllable. NOT AT ALL HARSH. Can't feel alot of the diving and seasickening motions as i used to. Overall control is much better, more precise braking in turns, truck stays more level. I've been using them in my bmw's for years with great results, didn't think that they'd make this much of a difference in my truck.. see'n hows it's only got 34k miles on it! I was wrong...
ONE thing I did kinda question though, is the diameter of the piston shaft on the bilsteins are much thinner than stock shocks (body is fatter tho)
All in all, this is an absolutely awesome shock, highly recommend.

Message: I have to agree with Dan. I am happy with the Bilstein's. Dan, I retained the stock rubber gromets on the front shocks, the supplied ones did not fit right. What did you use? Other then that, great ride.

Message: you know, I flipped a coin. was heads, so i went with the bilstein supplied bushings.. knowing they didn't feel quite snug in there, i figured they'd squash down and form. They did. i may actually get new ones from the stealer er um dealer-- still undecided on that. we'll see if i get any movement from them. doubt it tho, they're pretty pancaked!
Cheers!

Message: Another thing... the shocks will soften up JUST a bit in about 10k miles. We may not notice too much. but after that they'll last the lifetime of the truck. i've owned many bilstein shocks and they've always mello'd out "just right".
