Message: i have a 2000 dakota and i cranked the torsion bars about 1.75" and that was all the shop recomended and i didnt put blocks in the back (basically makes the truck look even). i also put on 32x11.5 bfgoodrich ats and they dont rub. i just got done putting on a 3" body lift and the dakota looks sweet! as far as doing the torsion bars yourself...measure both sides of the truck up front from ground to frame. jack up the front of the truck so the front tires are off the ground (this will make it easier to adjust the bolts) and then just crank on the torsion bar bolts...an air wrench is nice to have for this. make sure to measure the frame to the ground when you are done to make sure the measurments are the same.
