Message: I have installed a set of SkyJacker's on my 1989 Dakota, and I absolutely love 'em. Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with their aftermarket shocks? I use my truck offroad once in a while, and cannot be happy with Monroe shocks or any other "street" shock...

Message: I have used Rancho RS 5000's before and really liked them. Planning on putting either those or RSX's on when I lift it if not sooner.

Message: Hawkeye, just put the rsx's on my QC 4x4 and they ride like rocks. Granted the roads here in Dallas are washboarded to all hell but sometimes I feel like I am in one of those old body shakers you see in movies from the 50's.... The tires stay on the ground and the truck does not hop around like it used to but at 10k miles the stock shocks were completely shot!!! I just need better paved roads. I looked on my build sheet and it says they are heavy duty shocks. Heavy duty my ass. As for highway ride, the rsx's are great. I just need better paved roads. Haven't had them off road yet but they offer great control on some of our construction roads at our jobsites. Got all 4 at 4 wheel parts for 212 including tax. Good luck.

Message: Cool deal on the RSX's. I am lucky enough to have a $ Wheel Parts store right here in town. Will probably have to check them out. We have crappy roads here too so I need a good off road shock just for the paved roads!!
