Message: Hey Chris,
Did the install on the Airlift springs I purchased from Summit. They actually give me about 2" lift at the rear and the ride is fairly smooth. The ultimate test for this system will be the 25ft. travel trailer. Plan to go camping soon. Wonder if you are at Hollister right now havn a Mudfest!

Message: Hey, nice video clips, wish I had some dunes here in Iowa to climb, but we tend to go for the mud (its all we have).
I was listening to your exhaust and wondered what you did. I assume you have a v6 from the badges. I also have a 6 and want a deep rumble, wondered what you have and if it is fairly low. I have had a flowmaster 50 series and it doesn't sound like a truck, i hate it....so I heard yours from the video clips and like the sound (I think)... can you tell me what ya got?
Thanks!

Message: I have the 40 series Flowmaster, the one that is usually put on the V8's, I believe it is a 3 chamber. Part#9430402.
I'll tell ya the guy who put it in did a excellent job! Nice and tight out the side. I have room to put up the 33" spare when I get around to getting it mounted. Stainless tips at 3.5". I will post a picture of the routing of the pipes on of these days.
I am going to get some better sound clips to get a better clips of Freeway and city driving. I think I have come up with a way to minimize the wind noise.
Noise is ok, yeah you hear it but a little music will drown it out or just listening to the sweet purr as you cruise down the freeway works good to.
I think when I change the plugs to the 3923's the sound got better. Probably in my head but still sounds great! Since I am not a lead foot I can keep the noise under control.
BTW, I got the Detroit Lockers on and I am ready to test them out! I have not noticed any of what everyone said I would feel and hear but I have only driven a few miles.

Message: FXF,
Everyone who has seen the video you made that day in Hollister comments on how good your truck sounds. You've definitely got the best sounding 3.9 around!
Lockers? And is that plural, as in rear AND front? When did this happen? Ya GOTTA let us know how they work!

Message: Dan,
Sorry, Locker! No front locker available as far as I know but I did not really research it to much. One guy said they way that the front engages has made problems for a locker but I do not have anything to substantiate any of this.
I guess you mean everyone that you have shown the video to may make that comment. There are only 3 copies of that video and no real clips yet but I think I may have to change that.
I just got the locker on and my truck back yesterday. So I am still needing to test it out. Hollister run this weekend.
We miss you bud! Hopefully you will get some time to come back for a few days. Enjoy your Hyundia or Kia, which ever you are driving these days.
Hey, does Dad want to take your truck out to Play?

Message: What size tire/rim are you currently running with? Your tires appear to be taller, etc. then stock. I am thinking of replacing stock 265/70/R16 with 31x10.50R16. Don't believe that I will have any rubbing problems. But just looking for input.

I run a set of BFG AT's 33x12.5x16 on Stock 16" rims Gen III(act 285x75x16 or something like that)
I run a set of General MT 33x12.5x15 on Stock 15" rims Gen III.
