This may help you out. Powertrax doesn't make a No-Slip locker for the 8.25“ rear end with the LSD yet. The reason is the LSD carrier is different from the open differential carrier and that is why their listing reads the way it does. Second, Auburn Sure Grip is not a locker at all it is a limited slip unit (that is why they recommend a friction modifier be used to aid the Auburn cone clutch). An auto locker does just that (it should actually be called an auto un-locker, since the wheels are always locked until one begins to overtake the other, as in a turn under little or no throttle), it locks both wheels together to provide 100% engine power to both wheels, yes 100% (if you stop 1 wheel the other will not receive any power because either the engine will stall or the driveline will give out. A limited slip (aka; posi, sure-grip, track-lock, power-loc) unit only guarantees a percentage of the engine power will go to the non slipping wheel, typically around 2%- 5% (as per the Detroit Locker web page and Auburngear.com)
