Subject: Brake, help!!!!!!!!! IP: Logged
Message: I pulled off my passenger side brakes to change the pads, then I found out I had to replace the rotor. After I took a look at the pins that hold the caliper to the spindle, I noticed they were all messed up. The threads in the spindle are gone. Does anyone know if you can just re-thread the spindle or am I looking at something more major? To date this is like the fourth, or fifth problem Ive had with my truck, and my warranty is out. ):

Message: Pick up a Heli-Coil kit from your local auto parts store. I don't know what year your truck is, but mine's a 99 4x4 and the size I need is 9mmx1.25. I'll be doing mine tonight along with another broken shock bolt and a broken sway bar bolt. Dodge really uses crappy fastners, they either break off, strip or seize.
