ok i have all the parts (3in body and 2in coils) sitting in my room. I have a 2000 2wd v6 CC and before i go and install these, there are some questions i need to ask.

1) since i have a 2wd, there is no shift transfer case linkage, correct?

2)Is it neccesary to drain the coolant?

3)Is it neccesary to remove and cut the fan shroud and unplug all the wires? (i read somewhere that there is enough slack, thought it might be faster to leave them be)

4)were there any steps you skipped because you found that it was not needed?

Thanks all

If you have a 2wd and no transfer case cause of that, how could u have a linkage for it! =) Not necessary to drain the coolant when i did mine. You wioll have to cut the shroud since its attached to the body and will get wrenched on the fan. Everything but this one welding part for the 4wd linkage they asked me to do but i found a way around that. Hope this helps.

Tony

I didn't put the spacers. If you want the extra load capacity just JB weld them in.

Hey corey, I know this is a little off topic, but I was looking at your website (very nice!) and liked your nerf bars. What kind are they? I have a club cab as well and I haven't found any nerf bars that I actually like and yours look pretty good. Thanks!

well i finished the actual lifting part of the body lift. im having trouble with the steering shaft, the steering wheel locked up and now i cant position it on to the extension and rack. im thinkin its cuz of the power steering and hopefully once i start the car it will unlock, but since i took the battery out ill have to wait till tomorrow to tackle that job. then im off to sears to get 32in bfg ATs, there on sale fore 119. after the tires, ill mount the 2in coil lift. im pretty excited but also exhausted.

Bill,
Mine are "Wildcat Flash" they are frame mounted so I made new brackets to lift them with the body

Check out Smittybuilts. They can be lifted too. Check out this thread:
