Subject: BFG 285/75 or 275/70 IP: Logged
Message: I need help here in choosing between these two tires...
I have a 2001 QC, 4x4, factory lift setup.
Does anybody have a pic of their 2000+ DAK with either of these tires with the factory lift (4x4).
I would like to buy one of these two types, especially the 285/75's if they will fit (will they??)
Do the 275's look much bigger than the stock?
How about the difference in price? Is there one???
Thanks,
Ayrow

Message: 285's and you'll need to do some trimming or a body lift. I have the 275's on my stock 4X4 and have no rubbing at all. I did crank the torsion bars about 3/4" to get the truck closer to sitting level, but wouldn't have had to do it to run the 275's. YES, they definitely do look bigger. The BFG KO's are sweet and make less noise on the road than the OE Goodyears. I got the set of four 275's locally for $700.00 installed. I'm waiting for the Rancho 3" lift before I go up to the 285's.

Message: Thank you so much for the reply.
I really want to fill out the wheel-wells as best that I can without getting too big.
It sounds like 275/70's might be the way to go.
By chance, can you e-mail me a pic of your truck with the 275's on them?
Thanks again,
Ayrow
