Subject: fabtech poping noises? IP: Logged
Message: i have the 3 inch fabtech lift on my 99 and when i take it off roading it seems to ride odd, by making popping noises while its hitting bumps, is doesnt seem to be hittin anything is there something i need to adjust, it also rides kinda rough off road is this just how its gona be because the coils are so compressed or is there something wrong, any suggestions are greatly appreciated

Message: Ahh i've been waiting for someone to ask that. Hhaha...cuz i had the same experience. I asked tallquad and he had the same thing. It's the little space left between the upper a-arm bumpstop and the coil frame housing. if you look at ur upper a-arm where the bump stop is (that piece of rubber bolted on), you will see that there's like 1 inch space. So if you hit a dip or hole, you only got one inch of downward articulation. Down flex. It's pretty normal for the fabtech lift and u'd get used to it after a while. it's harmless. You can't really adjust that either. And yeah the stiff ride is from the 3 inch bigger coils. They will settle within a few months. Mine ain't stiff that much anymore.
