Message: If I put any weight at all in the back of the box it looks like it a 2 wheel drive truck. Has anybody done anything to stiffen up the rear end so it doesn't drop so much. I never had this much drop with my nissan.

Message: I had air shocks on my '95 Dakota. With 100+ psi in them, they kept the bed at a normal level with a full load of dirt, and raised it nice and high when empty.

Message: i just put in the Air Lift Ride Control airbag setup. ran me about $225, and took me about 3.5 hours to install. it gives you a 1000 lb load carrying capability. you keep between 10-100 psi in them and i stay around 30 just to lift the back end for a better look and stance. then when you want to carry a heavy load just pump more in with a compressor or the optional onboard compressor setup. i do alot of camping and when loaded with firewood and gear my QC was sittin pretty low in the rear. this fixed the problem, it will sit level if not higher in the back now with adjustment of the air bags. i recommend them. good luck

Message: the link BlackDak02 posted is exactly the kit i got. picked it up at a local 4x4 shop, and i will take a few photos of them installed and email to anyone interested. in Knobby's situation though, i don't think they will fit on a suspension lifted truck because the bags are designed to fit between the leaf springs and the frame. the size it comes in may not be long enough to fit due to the lift. i would call airlift and speak to a tech to find out more. i am very happy with them and recommend them to anyone who wants there truck to ride level when the bed is loaded, and also because it takes alot of the hop out of bumps in the road due to our lite rear ends

Message: Brian, how did that air ride lift affect your ride? I was told that it stiffens the ride a lot. Was it very noticable from stock or uncomfortably stiff after installation?

Message: it feels a bit firmer, but i think it handles better. i totally takes the hop out of bumps that would normally make the back end dance a bit

Message: i hav e a 98 dak 4X4, that i bought new at 30000 km, i
had already put 3 sets of shocks up front! finally, after
asking the dealer if they were willing to replace the
shocks every 10000km or would they put something
decent in. they finally installed rancho 5000 all around.
problem solved. i wheel a bit, but not dukes of hazard
style. my mountain bike has better shocks than the
factory ones, and they were susposed to be heavy duty
