Message: I had a tow hook mounted where my front receiver bolts to the lower cross member on the drivers side. This ended up being below the stuck line of the truck. One tug from a slight angle and that lower cross member was bent. Now I have a much more dependable, centered place to be pulled from when stuck at Pismo.
I went to Hollister Hills to try out the approach angle with my new receiver and found that it only hit when climbing larger bumps. Bumps large enough to high center my truck.

Message: Looks pretty good...
The DOC (Durango Owners Club) group that I spend some time running with, have several D's that are equipped with the front reciever. It's funny as hell hearing some of them take "core samples", as we call them, when going through areas like that.
One word of caution...make sure you scout areas before baja'ing through. We had a D hit a rock during a water-crossing this year. It total fubar'ed his D...bent both front frame rails & the front receiver, and damaged the lower valance, bumper, fenders, hood, and front doors.
Luckily for him, his insurance company picked up the over $6,000 repair bill.

Message: Every one and their mother has one here in Santa Cruz. Hell, my mother rides a banshee!
I wanted the chrome shift sticker but all they had was a white one. I have had it on my truck for a year and my wife wants me to replace it with a fox siticker like her. I told her fox owns shift and I run the baggy gear, so its going to stay.
My best mod is the MTX thunderform, got to have bass when wheeling.
