Message: Does anyone know of any aftermarket fuel tanks for Dakotas? There is a ton of room under there for a bigger tank so I would think someone would have one. I'd guess you could put something in the 30 gallon range in there which would be great because after spending a full weekend in the woods away from gas pumps, I've found myself getting nervous. I know, I could carry a gas can or two, but wouldn't it be nice to not have to?

Message: There is a California-based company that makes a 32 or 33 gallon replacement, but they won't ship it for some reason. I had been considering it for some time...becuase of the off-roading that I do...but the $330+ price tag scared me away. Unfortunately, I never bookmarked the link...so I don't have one to give to you.
After doing a lot of research into this, I had come to the conclusion that a more feasible option may very well be an auxiliary tank. These are pretty widely available, with plenty of options & designs to chose from.
To get you started, here is one of the well-known vendors in the auxiliary tank market:

Hope that helps, and good luck with your searching!!
