Message: I had 32x11.50's on my '99 CC and my '00 QC. I had them on the factory 15x8 wheels. They stick out app. to the edge of the factory flares. I had no rub on the '00 and a little rub at full lock on the frame on the '99. I made steering stops and eliminated this problem. It only takes about 10 minutes to make stops. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else.

Message: what about a stock 2002 cc 4.7L 4x4
I have all the factory upgrades that were possible 5900# gvw, 3.92's, Hd service group etc..if that makes any difference.
I was thinking of going with a bigger tire 15" rim, did a search, but got a lot of run a round.
I don't want a lift, I wanna trade it in once they (or should I say if they) put the hemi in a dakota, so a lift is out of the question.
I take it 33's won't fit,
now what are the rim specs, that I'd need if I go with a 15" rim and some 32's (or the bigest that'll fit. also what size tire?
thaks for the help

Message: Clevite,
You should be able to fit 32x11.50's on your truck with wheels that have the same backspacing/ offset as factory. There are not many wheels made for this bolt pattern, compared to the other 6-bolt trucks. You may need to turn torsion bars to level truck if front end is low or make steering stops as mentioned above. Other than that, they should fit. Like I said, on my '99 I had a little rub, and nothing on the '00. I turned the torsion bars slightly on both vehicles though, just to get the truck level, and I like a little bit of gap between the wheelwell and tire. I have seen 33's on stock height trucks with the factory wheels, but they had pretty significant rub.

Message: thanks Troy, I'm going to have to look into that now
Do you have to get an alignment after turning the torsion bars?

Message: Some people say to get an alignment, but I didn't and the truck drove the same as before. I only cranked my bars about 1 to 1-1/2 turns, though. I would probably get an alignment if I raised it more than 2 turns or so.

Message: I just got finished putting 32x11.50/15 BFG AT KOs on a 97 Ext cab with just a torsion bar adjustment on the front end. I carried it to Sears since my alignment was still under warranty and they said it looked fine. Also, I had to do some trimming since I have 10" rims by Prime. I took about 3 1/2 inches from the inside of the rear of the front fender wells. I get a little rub at max articulation but nothing to worry about.
After all, you can't hear it in the mud! :)
