Message: How much lift can I get from a torsion bar lift on my 98 Durango 4x4? And for the rear...the leafs are underneath the axle. What are my options...shackles, flip kit?

Message: I used shackles to lift the rear about 1.75" and then raised the front w/ the T-bars to level it off (not sure of the total amount of front lift). The shackles were ordered from Western Spring part #2001, and you will also need some 2 washers on each side of the shackle to prevent side to side movement. You can get these at Home Depot or the like. The shackles were about $35.

Message: I just pulled my invoice out, and the web site is www.macsspring.com the phone # is 909-862-4811. The shackle is actually designed as a lowering shackle for the Ram, but it does work as a lifting shackle for the D/Dak.

Message: Thanks cop_out2000, the shackles work good, I got those on and my new shocks and it made a huge difference. It leveled it out nice. Thanks again for the information. Still working on getting pics. Going to do some 2 tracking this weekend and ready to head for the dunes this summer.

Message: I own a 2000 durango r/t as of a few days ago and though its a little off subject, i figured with all the durango owners on this post why not ask. Will 285/70R17 MTR's fit on the durango stock? I've heard from a dakota owner saying this worked on his truck, but i donno if it will on the durango. And does anyone know if i can get dual exhaust when that damn spare tire seems to be in the way?

Message: I just had a muffler shop look at my 99 Durango and they did not recamend putting a dual exhaust. So I had them remove the muffler and stay with the factory route of tail pipe. Sounds great have had alot of complaments on it. It is a little loud from inside the truck but not too bad.

Message: Hey D owners.
Only 1 post I see since August 2003.
Here is my update on my 2001 SLT 4x4.
3" Rancho Lift, 3" Body Lift, 33x1250 BFG KO's; will fit 35" but does rub on front end bounce. Oh yes, can’t forget the rear fender well hammering… just a little.
AFE Cold Air intake, TSP & AIT adjustment and relocation, Fuel hose extension because the Body lift. Extra power locations Via Anderson connectors, 180deg thermostat, Magna Flow cat back, PIAA 19617 bulbs (headlights), Billet Grill.
Anyone else with updates?

Message: Seems anymore there are a lot of durango owners Coming to this site fpr answers. Can't say as I blame them . There are some very noledgable People in this site plus it is the best designed one to find your way around. I'm wondering why Mark hasn't expanded to include the Durango. Seems as it would be fairly easy to make the addition. Just wondering.
