knockknockknocknockknockknocknockknock!!im sure it is knocking, but not that sure. could it be from plugs, timing, rod bearing/bolts or the pins? knocking is much louder than sticky lifters i am, sure. i felt my oil pan and could feel the vibrations from each "knock," its just i cant really afford to tear apart the engine and go by trial and error. i might be able to afford a timing kit, but only if thats the sound for sure. i checked the codes, and that didnt help.i guess i could take down the pan and check the bearings, but im too afraid to see what i dont want to see, or if i dont find what i should. can i disconnect the coil and turn the engine? the sound corresponds to the speed of the engine, but i havent any loss of power; it still hauls a$$, but i'd hate to snap a rod just when i am really getting more into the truck.
